About 8th Row Digital

Senior-led from first call to final report.

No account-manager layer. No handoff after the sale. One person accountable for the thinking, the delivery and the outcome.

I built 8th Row to be a leaner, clearer alternative to the typical agency model: fewer layers, faster decisions and better continuity between strategy and execution.

Pleased to meet you

One voice, one plan, one person accountable.

I’m Darren Healy. I’ve been running digital campaigns since 2009, and I built 8th Row to be the opposite of the typical agency experience – no polished pitch followed by a handover, no account-manager layer, and no mystery about who’s doing the work.

I’m a marketer first; digital is how I execute. I start with objectives, audience, offer and positioning, then build a plan you can actually deliver and measure.

You work directly with me throughout. That means clearer communication, faster decisions and better continuity between strategy and delivery.

What clients usually value most

The model is simpler on purpose.

  • Direct access to the person doing the work
  • No dilution between planning, delivery and reporting
  • Senior thinking applied across more than one channel
  • Clearer accountability and less internal noise

Experience

Since 2009

Long enough to know what matters, short enough to keep things practical.

Access

Direct senior contact

You speak to the person shaping the work, not a middle layer.

Breadth

Strategy + execution

Joined-up thinking across search, site, conversion, lifecycle and measurement.

Base

Glasgow, UK-wide

Remote-first with in-person support where it adds value.

Why clients choose this model

A leaner way to work together.

8th Row is structured to keep the thinking, delivery and reporting closer together – fewer layers, clearer communication and more senior attention on the work itself.

Model advantage

Lean by design

You are not paying for internal layers, repeated handovers or a large agency structure. The time and budget go closer to the work itself.

Breadth

Broader senior experience

I’m not just a single-channel operator. I can set direction, shape messaging, choose the right mix of channels and then deliver the important parts without dilution.

Accountability

Clear responsibility

You always know what we are doing, why it matters, what changed, what we learned and what comes next. One person owns the outcome.

What I do

Five practical areas that fit together.

Strategy, search, websites, lifecycle and measurement are most useful when they reinforce one another.

01

Strategy & Direction

  • Objectives, budgets and KPIs
  • Positioning and messaging
  • Segmentation and journey thinking
  • A practical 90-day plan

02

Acquisition

  • SEO across technical, content and local
  • Google Ads and paid media where it fits
  • Content planning to support demand
  • Audience and intent alignment

03

Conversion & Platform

  • WordPress and WooCommerce builds
  • Landing pages and CRO thinking
  • UX, speed and performance foundations
  • Stronger calls to action and journeys

04

Retention & Lifecycle

  • Email marketing and automations
  • Nurture, repeat purchase and win-back
  • Remarketing logic that fits the journey
  • Better value from the traffic you already pay for

05

Measurement

  • Tracking foundations and conversion measurement
  • Plain-English reporting tied to KPIs
  • Decisions based on evidence, not guesswork
  • Clearer prioritisation from better data

If you’re not sure what you need, I’ll start with what’s measurable, prioritise the highest-impact fixes and build from there.

Why it’s called 8th Row

Undiscovered elements. Better outcomes.

The eighth row of the periodic table is theoretical – undiscovered elements.

That’s the idea behind the name: test, learn, look for what others miss, then prove what works with measurable outcomes.

It is less about sounding scientific and more about a mindset: curiosity, experimentation, evidence and useful results.

Common questions

A few things people usually want to know.

Yes. 8th Row is intentionally small and senior-led. You work directly with me from first call to delivery and reporting – no account-manager layer and no handovers.

You get one point of contact, faster decisions, more consistent quality and much clearer accountability for outcomes.

If I’m not a fit, I’ll tell you quickly. I take on a limited number of clients at a time so delivery stays sharp. For larger projects, I can phase work into clear milestones or bring in trusted specialists – but I stay accountable for the outcome.

Core strategy, SEO, PPC management and reporting are handled by me. If a project genuinely benefits from extra hands – for example development, design or video – I’ll propose specialist support up front and manage it clearly.

Work is planned in clear cycles, progress is documented, and campaigns are set up to avoid single points of failure. If you need always-on cover, we can agree a backup arrangement for critical activity.

Simple and consistent: email or phone for quick questions, a short weekly update where useful, and a monthly review when we are working together on an ongoing basis.

Most of the work sits across strategy, SEO, Google Ads / PPC, websites and landing pages, email marketing and analytics. If you are not sure what you need, I will start with the problem, then prioritise the highest-impact fixes first.

We agree the outcome first – enquiries, sales, ROI, cost per lead, conversion rate or another commercial KPI – then set up tracking and reporting around that.

I’m Glasgow-based and work remote-first. Most projects don’t require in-person meetings, but I’m happy to meet in Glasgow by appointment when it’s useful.

Projects are priced around scope and impact. If you tell me the goal and the timeframe, I’ll recommend the best starting point and give a clear quote.

Have a project in mind?

If you already know the challenge, send it through. If you don’t, describe the problem and I’ll suggest the best next step.
